Problem is, that event handler is never being called as long as my control is invalid.

I have a feeling it might have something to do with my control hierarchy, though I am not 100% sure.

And, what should be Datasource Update Mode- On Property Changed or On Validation?

How can I fix #9 below so the "NULL checking" works ?

Connection String = str Conn Dim objcmd As Sql Command Dim my Adapter As New Sql Data Adapter 'Open the Database Try objcmd = New Sql Command("sp Contacts", obj Conn) objcmd.

Hi Have a look through this Public Class f Contacts Dim inc As Integer Dim Record Number As Integer Dim maxrows As Integer Dim my Data Set As New Data Set Private Sub f Contacts_Load(By Val sender As Object, By Val e As System. Load Get Contacts() End Sub Sub Get Contacts() Dim obj Conn As New Sql Connection obj Conn.

Hi I want to create first, previous, next, last record buttons to navigate through my database however we are not permitted to use binding, only myrecordset instructions I can do the first record button however the rest are baffling.heres my code so far:private sub firstrecord_btn_click con.

Click inc = inc - 1 Record Number -= 1 navigate Records() End Sub Private Sub c Last_Click(By Val sender As System.

Click inc = maxrows - 1 Record Number = maxrows navigate Records() End Sub Private Sub c First_Click(By Val sender As System.

The code snippet below makes sure there is an integer in a textbox, which is the only thing on the form.

The problem arises when the user wants to close the form, but the validation wont let him IF there is an invalid character in the text box. Instead of setting the cancel event, I am calling the Focus() event of the masked Text Box. Cancel=true, as the cursor will remain on that control Using the error Provider provides a visual feedback that is less obtrusive than a message box.
